How far along: 25 weeks
How big is baby: baby is about 13.5 inches long and weighs about a pound and a half
Weight gain: a little less than a pound this week, for a total gain of 11-12 pounds
Stretch marks: none
Sleep: normal for the most part, with typically one night per week where I experience mild insomnia
Cravings/aversions: I had a major craving for lemonade Sunday night and wasn't able to get any until Tuesday. By then it wasn't as good as it would have been Sunday, but I've still been enjoying it all week.
Maternity clothes: oh yes
Movement: the rolls and squirms are starting to outnumber the kicks and jabs.
What I'm loving: To go along with the movement above, I love watching tv at night with my hands on my belly and just feeling him squirm around in there.
Symptoms: No distinct pregnancy symptoms this week but my belly button does seem to be popping more. If I wear my pants with the panel up it hides it pretty well but if I roll the panel down and my shirt is all that's covering the belly, the belly button tends to pop out and make an appearance these days.
What I'm looking forward to: getting this baby here safely and moving on with our new family life
Best moment of the week: I was hoping my best moment would be finding out I passed my glucose test but 3 days went by without hearing anything, after them telling me they would call in "1-2 days"
How I'm feeling: anxious
I finally had another appointment with a doctor this week after waiting 5.5 weeks. I left feeling pretty discouraged, though. We talked about my placenta previa, the chance of my placenta moving (less than 50%, he says) and other possible complications that could make the c-section more complicated. We'll know more about my next ultrasound in a few weeks, but if I do have that extra complication it looks like I may have to be put under general anesthesia for the c-section (my doctor didn't say this to me yet, but google has turned out to be pretty reliable with the pp stuff). I'm totally freaked out over the possibility of general anesthesia and a complicated c-section with the possibility of lots of blood loss. I was so drugged up during and after Isaac's delivery and I really wanted it to be different this time. Again, we'll know more in a few weeks, so I'm trying not to worry until then, but that's easier said than done.
