23 weeks

How far along:  23 weeks 

How big is baby:  more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound, about as much as a large mango

Weight gain:  approximately 10 pounds total

Stretch marks: none on the belly

Sleep: one night with minor insomnia but nothing major to complain about this week

Cravings/aversions: the strawberry craving is dying down and nothing else is taking its place (yet)

Maternity clothes: yes 

Movement: back to normal, thank goodness. I noticed a big difference last week, but starting Sunday and ever day since he has been movin' and groovin' in there, just as much as he used to, if not more. I haven't worried a bit this week. I've even felt some very specific body parts this week.

What I'm loving: I think I'm reaching the point where my self esteem is pretty high. I still feel uncomfortable when people tell me how big they think I look, but I'm really comfortable with where I'm at right now. 

Symptoms: I had my first Braxton Hicks contraction this week. I was kind of surprised I hadn't been feeling them yet since I had my first one at 20 weeks with Isaac and many more on a regular basis after that. I had my first heartburn show up this week. Nothing too bad (yet), but still annoying. I also realized today that I haven't had nearly as much back pain lately.

What I'm looking forward to: moving Isaac into his new room and getting the nursery put together

Best moment of the week: the beautiful spring weather we had today. It lifted my spirits so much to get outside and soak up the sunshine and vitamin D!

How I'm feeling: I'm feeling rather productive this week. I'm getting things done and I'm motivated to get even more things done. I ordered the new crib bedding and I'm getting a mental picture of what I want the baby's room to look like. I also ordered Isaac's big boy bedding and I don't have a mental picture of what I want his big boy room to look like, but I'm going to start with the bedding and work from there. Rodney and his dad plan to start filling in the wall next weekend so I'm feeling good about the progress being made.

Baby Clark has a name now! I think we've finally decided on a first name, still no middle name.
