nesting

We're moving Isaac to our third bedroom and turning his room into the new baby's room, but a lot needs to happen before we can do that. Our third bedroom currently has a set of french doors on one wall, which makes it more of an office than a bedroom. We knew when we bought the house that we would eventually fill in that wall when we needed it as a true bedroom, and the time has come. Unfortunately the guy we're working with is a friend of Rodney's dad and therefore he can kind of get away with not doing things fast enough (for me). My goal has always been to have Isaac in his new room at some point in May and the guy hasn't even been over here yet to see what he's working with. I'm a little (a lot) frustrated and putting lots of pressure on Rodney who is putting lots of pressure on his dad.

So since I can't start working on Isaac's big boy room or the nursery, I'm forced to put my nesting energy into other projects. Yesterday I cleaned out the pantry and Isaac's cup/bowl/snack container cabinet (both very much need tasks). I'm trying to clean out the spare room to get it ready for Isaac, but since most of that is random stuff that was being stored in there, that stuff needs to find a new home in the garage, and I need Rodney to help me reorganize the garage first. He tells me he can't do that until tax season is over and he gets a little break. Can you tell I'm a little frustrated?

I've also asked Rodney to get down the box of 0-3 baby clothes, even though I have plenty of time to go through them. I was hoping the newborn clothes were in that box but they were not, so we still need to find that one too. You know, because I NEED to know right now what we need for this baby.

Rodney doesn't necessarily like my new nesting efforts. He says I'm 'myopic' (big word alert) in my organizing, meaning that while reorganizing Isaac's closet other random stuff gets left around his room in need of a new home. But the closet is clean and organized! ;) Um, he may be a little right.

My next projects include cleaning out the fridge and freezer and coming up with some craft organization for the playroom. Then maybe working on the linen closet and whatever else I can find to keep myself busy until I can work on the bedrooms.
