39 weeks

How far along:  39 weeks, last weekly update before baby

How big is baby: a little over 7 pounds and 20 inches (although I'm expecting this guy to be bigger than that)

Weight gain: holding steady around 25 lbs

Stretch marks: none

Sleep: aside from one night of horrible insomnia on Sunday night, sleep was better this week. I am getting up to pee around 4 times per night, but I go right back to sleep.

Cravings/aversions: none

Maternity clothes: I'm down to about 4-5 shirts that I'm wearing in a rotation

Movement: still feeling plenty of movement which is very reassuring

What I'm loving: I made it to the end! Time to meet baby boy!

Symptoms: Still dealing with horrible nerve pain/tingling at the top of my bump. 

What I'm looking forward to: Seeing his sweet little face. Isaac meeting his baby brother for the first time (I tear up every time I think about it too much)

Best moment of the week: having our last appointment on Friday. I woke up Friday morning feel ecstatic. I felt like if we could just make it that appointment the end was right around the corner.

How I'm feeling: Nervous about the c-section and recovery, but so excited at the same time. So ready and anxious to get past the hospital part and move on with our life as a family of 4.

We had an unexpected ultrasound on Friday at our regular appointment. I still have no idea why. My doctor was really backed up and I think his nurse ordered it. It was a normal growth ultrasound to check his size and my fluid levels. He said my fluid was down a little but still in the normal range. Baby measured approximately 7 lb 15 oz, compared to 8 lb 2 oz 2 weeks ago. No one was concerned because ultrasound measurements are notoriously off. I'm very curious to see what he really weighs. Doc said everything looked fine and he saw no reason to change our plans and told us he would see us bright and early Monday morning. Eek!
