How far along: 38 weeks
How big is baby: the average baby weighs about 6.8 pounds and is about 19.5 inches long
Weight gain: approximately 24-25 lbs
Stretch marks: none
Sleep: sleep has gone majorly downhill this week. I'm exhausted during the day but bedtime comes and I feel like I have a touch of insomnia. I either lay awake and play on my phone, or go to sleep quickly and wake up in the middle of the night for an hour at a time.
Cravings/aversions: none
Maternity clothes: I'm down to about 4-5 shirts that I'm wearing in a rotation
Movement: I feel like he's slowing down again. He definitely has his times of crazy movement, but I can tell he's quite big and running out of room.
What I'm loving: I'm really trying to enjoy my last few days/weeks of pregnancy because as much as I complain now, I know I'll miss it soon. What I'm not loving: the looks from strangers when I leave the house that say "Is your water going to break right here?"
Symptoms: Still dealing with horrible nerve pain/tingling at the top of my bump. My back doesn't hurt too bad when I'm walking but if I'm just standing around it kills me!
What I'm looking forward to: Not being pregnant anymore. That's horrible to say, and it's bittersweet because this is more than likely my last pregnancy, so I want to savor it, but I also want my old body back.
Best moment of the week: my wonderful baby shower
How I'm feeling: I'm so uncomfortable this week and ready to meet this baby. I still need to pack my hospital bag and finish getting all the baby stuff out around the house. It's strange. I tell Rodney all the time how much I am ready to have this baby, but then I realize if I were to go into labor tonight I still feel so unprepared. There's something very comforting about knowing the day we will meet him, and having my last few days with Isaac, not to mention having Isaac's care all lined up during our hospital stay.
