How far along: 36 weeks
How big is baby: almost 6 pounds and over 18.5 inches long
Weight gain: approximately 23 pounds total. My scale at home is barely moving, and according to the doctor's scale I haven't gained in 4 weeks. Crazy!
Stretch marks: none
Sleep: Isaac is up most nights for several hours at a time, so this mama is not sleeping well at all
Cravings/aversions: none
Maternity clothes: love my maternity clothes
Movement: "they" say movement slows down at the end because they run out of room, but I never felt like Isaac did that. I do feel like this one is slowing down, or at least not moving all the time like he used to.
What I'm loving: getting closer to the end and meeting this little guy
Symptoms: lots of pressure this week, along with several jabs to the cervix, either with his head or hands. My Braxton Hicks seem to be getting stronger (but I'm actually not having as many) and literally take my breath away most of the time. It's very hard to breathe through them.
What I'm looking forward to: I'm getting one last ultrasound at my appointment on Friday. I'm sure we won't get to see his face well but I'm looking forward to seeing how big he is, even though late weight estimates are notorious for being way off. It will be fun to see just how accurate it might be.
How I'm feeling: Tired. This no sleep thing is for the birds. It's bad enough that I'm 36 weeks pregnant and naturally have no energy, but now I have to deal with being awake for hours at a time with a 2-year-old who can no longer sleep through the night. My body feels so heavy and I can't walk anywhere for too long. Rodney and I often talk about how we're still going to be sleep deprived in a few weeks when the new baby gets here, but maybe at least then I'll be feeling better physically. Hopefully. Hope is all I've got to go on at this point.
