27 weeks

Hello, third trimester!

How far along:  27 weeks 

How big is baby:  baby now weighs almost 2 pounds and is about 14.5 inches long

Weight gain: didn't weigh this week

Stretch marks: none

Sleep: hit or miss. I think if Rodney would stay on his side and not sleep in the middle of the bed I could sleep a lot better ;)

Cravings/aversions: nothing specific other than sweets in general, as it has been for weeks

Maternity clothes: yes 

Movement: this guy is crazy. When I was pregnant with Isaac I would lay in bed sometimes 20 minutes waiting for him to move just to ease my mind first thing in the morning, but I feel this one dancing around from the minute I open my eyes. 

What I'm loving: getting things done around the house. We're checking things off the list left and right  :)

Symptoms: not nearly as many Braxton Hicks this week, but my gums are still tender and sore at times. I'm going to the dentist this week for a cleaning, so hopefully that will help.

What I'm looking forward to: seeing him again at my  ultrasound on Friday

Best moment of the week: I'm totally drawing a blank. Life is really good in general right now.

How I'm feeling: Still anxious. About the ultrasound and my appointment this week and what we'll find out. Nervous to be in third trimester when the bleeding risk from placenta previa increases. Finally starting to picture life with 2 kids and worrying about how Isaac will deal with the transition.

Oh the commments from other people. I never actually told Isaac's MDO teachers that I was pregnant. It was winter and I was always wearing a coat at drop-off and pick-up and I figured they would figure it out on their own in the spring when I stopped wearing my coat. Sure enough, a couple of weeks ago his teacher motioned to my belly and said, "Oh, I didn't know you were expecting another one!" Then last week she said "Wow, that belly's really getting out there, especially since we didn't know you were pregnant until so recently!" I made a comment about always being covered by my coat and she said "Yeah, everything just comes out in the summer!" Haha!
