30 weeks

In the interest of full disclosure, my weeks change on Saturday and I've been taking my photos on Sunday the past few weeks when I get dressed and ready for church. I totally forgot this week so my 30 week picture was taken Monday at 30w2d.

How far along:  30 weeks -- 75% done!

How big is baby:  about 15.7 inches long and almost 3 pounds

Weight gain: approximately 18 pounds total

Stretch marks: none

Sleep: not great. I'm trying to stay mostly on my left side because I wake up with a sharp pain in my right side when I sleep on it too much.

Cravings/aversions: I had a cherry slush from Sonic this week (my first in a very long time) and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since, so I guess you can call that my latest craving.

Maternity clothes: I've had a great time pulling out a few of my favorite pieces of maternity clothes from Isaac's pregnancy. Most of my pregnancy occurred during the summer with him, so I have some fun summer clothes to start wearing.

Movement: strong and crazy

What I'm loving:  watching my belly changes shape and contort as random baby body parts roll under the skin -- it never gets old. See the end of the this post for a crazy video from this week.

Symptoms: oh the fatigue! The afternoons are the worst, between 1 and 4-ish. I've also been experiencing more back pain this week, and I've been waking up with a sharp pain in my right side, right in my waist. Tylenol usually relieves it. I think he's just pushing into my right side and either putting pressure on a nerve or some other organ.

What I'm looking forward to:

Best moment of the week: scheduling baby's birthday

How I'm feeling: getting more uncomfortable, more excited, and more nervous

I had my appointment this week with a nurse practitioner because of a scheduling conflict on the office's part. She was not my favorite and spent more time typing notes into my chart than talking to me but it was fine. I scheduled my c-section for July 29 with the doctor who did my first one, which I'm super excited about. I was also given the green light to see him for the rest of my appointments instead of rotating through all the doctors so that's nice too. He's definitely my favorite. I switched to him for my annual appointments after he delivered Isaac and I consider him my doctor.

The NP measured my fundal height for the first time this pregnancy. I was 29w5d and measured 30.5, almost 31 cm, so just a tad ahead of schedule. No big deal.

I think it's so fascinating how different I look in different shirts. Last week's shirt was either very deceiving or I had a big growth spurt this week.
