29 weeks

Saturday, May 18, 2013

How far along:  29 weeks

How big is baby:  baby now weighs about 2.5 pounds and is just over 15 inches long

Weight gain: approximately 17 pounds total

Stretch marks: none

Sleep: most nights I sleep ok, but I still wake up feeling not rested. Had some crazy dreams this week.

Cravings/aversions: I've been craving strawberries for weeks and the grocery store strawberries have been good, but today I finally got some of our famous locally grown berries and there is no comparison.

Maternity clothes: oh yes. I'm starting to think about buying a few shirts in the next size up. I know not all of mine will cover the bump until July

Movement: all over the place. I find he's truly crazy in the middle of the night when I wake up to pee.

What I'm loving:  I think I'm back to feeling secure in my bump size. It's ridiculous, I know, but I remember feeling so confident during Isaac's pregnancy and I've spent a lot of time feeling huge this pregnancy. I'm pregnant, my baby is growing, so people can say whatever they want but it's not currently bothering me.

Symptoms: I was looking back at my old posts from Isaac's pregnancy and in my 27 week post I talked about how my back was always hurting and only felt better if I laid flat on my back. That was so funny to read because my back rarely hurts these days and only hurts when I lay flat on it.

What I'm looking forward to: working on the nursery now that Isaac's new room is finished

Best moment of the week: getting my fresh strawberries. The weather has been hit or miss lately and it seems like the days they pick I can't get out and get any and the days I'm free to go out they're not picking. Everything finally lined up on Saturday!

How I'm feeling: exhausted. Third trimester fatigue is kicking in, causing me to nap a couple of days per week and want to nap the other days. Keeping up with a 2-year-old is enough to make anyone exhausted, but throw in pregnancy and I am absolutely spent by the end of the day.
