We had quite the eventful weekend. We started Saturday at Rodney's family reunion. His Granny is the oldest of 9 brothers and sisters. The youngest is right around Rodney's dad's age. The 7 living siblings are scattered between Tennessee and Maryland. Every few years they gather for a big family reunion. This year it was held in TN and we got to help plan it. It was a big undertaking and everyone here swears it will be held in MD next time.
Anyway, it was a beautiful day and I got to meet all kinds of people that R barely knows. One highlight of the day: we were introduced to the wonderful game of Blongo Ball.
We had to leave the reunion early so we could shower and go to a wedding. One of our best friends that we went to school with (finally) got married to her high school boyfriend. I'm so happy for them. (And her dress was beautiful!!!)
We spent the night with my parents and spent most of Sunday with them. They actually went with us to pick out our new family member. I'll post about him next.
