random thoughts

- I have serious vacation envy.  It seems like all of my friends are going on vacation right now and we're not going until September.  I know September will come eventually, but going away sounds so nice right now.  Let's not talk about how nervous I am about travelling with a baby and totally throwing him off schedule.

- There are 3 girls in our small group who are pregnant right now, one of whom just announced this morning at 12 weeks.  I asked her how she was feeling and she mentioned how exhausted she was all the time.  It brought back memories of the first trimester and the horrible fatigue.  I often wonder how I'll be able to handle that next time with a little Isaac running around.  I know I'll just do it, but I'm not looking forward to it. (No, I'm not pregnant)

- I hardly see Isaac at all on Sundays.  We see him for maybe 2 hours in the morning, then we go to church where he stays in the nursery.  After church he goes down for a nap as soon as we get home, then he usually goes to Rodney's parents' house after his nap.  We pick him up and take him home for bath, bottle, and bed.  I make up for the lost time Monday-Saturday, but I still miss him on Sundays.

- I finally jumped on the Pinterest bandwagon.  Have you heard of it?  If you need an invitation, leave your email address and I'll send you one.

- For Mother's Day and Father's Day, R and I decided to get iPhones and call it even.  I always resisted technoligical advances and insisted I didn't need an iPhone, but it was actually my idea, and I totally love it now.  Of course I still don't need it, but it sure is nice to have.  I would have really loved having it while I was hooked up to my stupid breast pump 6 times a day for the first 2 months of Isaac's life.  I read a lot of magazines and did a lot of crossword puzzles and sudoku with that "free time".
