We lost a member of our family today, our beloved Itzbeen Timer, Greg.
I walked into the kitchen this morning and found Greg face-up in the cats' water bowl. I foolishly scooped him up and tried to dry him off, but my efforts were in vain. I knew he was gone from the moment I saw him, but I had to try.
It's all my fault. A few days I moved Greg into the kitchen and placed him on the "island" that sits up against a wall, right beside the cats' water bowl. I actually had the thought that he might get knocked off, because Zeus absolutely loves pushing anything he can onto the floor. I quickly disregarded that thought and moved on. I should have thought twice.
Up until a few weeks ago I was still using Greg to track Isaac's naps, but I have since started using an app on my phone. Greg served us well, though. He was always by my side for many months.
So Greg, thank you for your service during our sleep-deprived, trying-to-get-the-hang-of-parenting first few months. You will be missed.

Too funny! I actually "broke" ours awhile back.... I tried using a pencil to change the time and the pencil broke off inside the little button... So the time has not been right. How are Isaac's naps coming along? I swear, Adams are so different every day. One day he'll have 3 naps that last 2 hours the next he'll have 2 45 minute naps and refuses to take another one.... ahhh the adventures of raising a child!
Kayla, Isaac's naps are different every day, but getting better. His longest nap is in the morning, lasting anywhere from 1-2 hours. Sometimes his second nap is 30 minutes, but sometimes it is longer. If it's longer, he only gets 2 naps, but sometimes he still takes 3. We're leaps and bounds ahead of where we were a few months ago, though!
