39 weeks
I look like crap this week but it's been a long day.
We had an eventful doctor's appointment today. My blood pressure was fine, Bruce's heartbeat was great and regular and strong, the doctor measured my stomach, then checked my cervix. The last time I was checked was 3 weeks ago, 0 cm and 60% effaced. Today he declared me a fingertip dilated and 60% effaced. So basically, no progress. I wasn't too disappointed because I haven't really felt any contractions and very minimal cramping, so I just had a feeling nothing was happening. Then he said my uterus had measured 42 weeks instead of 39 like it should have and he was sending me for an ultrasound to get a weight estimate on baby boy.
The ultrasound was fine, and we could see as she measured that his head measured at 41 weeks and his belly and leg bone measured closer to 39. Let me tell you, my eyes opened wide when I saw that head measurement. Now I know that ultrasound weight estimations can be off by quite a bit, but today they estimated him at 8 lbs 7 oz. Wow! The doctor wanted to go ahead and induce me, but the next opening we could get at the hospital is Tuesday morning, which just happens to be my due date. I'm a little concerned that he could grow another half pound by then, and I know they would have done it earlier if they could. We were told that if a spot opened up before then they would call us, but I'm not counting on it. I'm also not counting on him coming on his own before then. He seems nice and cozy in there and my body isn't doing much.
I'm terrified that this induction will end up with a c-section since my body doesn't seem ready, but the only thing we can do now is wait and see. I'm not sleeping well as it is and I'm sure I'll have far too much on my mind to get much sleep before then. I'm so nervous, but so excited that we finally have a real date that we'll meet our son!

I'm glad everyone is healthy! Don't worry, my mom is a tiny lady (5'1" & 120lbs when she was pregnant with me) and I was 9lbs 2 oz. So, you can do it! :-) I hope you are able to get some rest and enjoy your weekend; just think, this will be the last weekend that you'll only be a family of 2!! how exciting!!
