Isaac-isms

I've always felt like Isaac got a lot of words very quickly once he started talking and communication has been such a turning point in our relationship. Sometime around Christmas it seemed like he started talking in full sentences overnight. Before that he had been doing 2 or 3 word sentences, but all of a sudden he could tell us exactly what he was thinking. Here are a few of my favorite phrases.

He loves to ask me "What's that sound, Mommy?" to everything. He can now tell the difference between the dishwasher, washing machine, and garage door.

"What a mess!"

"Zeus made a mess!" - Zeus has some 'issues' and sneezes a lot, sometimes accompanied by flying snot. Incredibly gross. Isaac knows this and likes to declare that Zeus made a mess any time he sneezes.

"Probably do that" - He started asking me for things he wanted and then saying this, for instance "How about peanut butter sandwich? Prolly do that." I realized that he got that from me. Whenever he would ask me for a special treat like fruit snacks I would think for a second and say "We can probably do that."

"How about...?"

"I not sure" - He answers every question with this these days, sometimes followed immediately by the right answer. I'll pick him up from MDO and ask him who he played with that day and he'll say "I not sure...Kaydence!" (Kaydence apparently is his 'girlfriend', according to his teachers)

"I miss you!" - He loves to walk up to me and exclaim "Mommy, I miss you!" while laying his head on me. I think it's his way of saying I love you.

"Never!" - He got this one from Jake and the Neverland Pirates and has only used it once in a negative way toward me. He usually says it playfully in other situations.

"I can't find it anywhere!" - Isaac is not good at finding anything and I feel like I spend half of my day 'finding' things that are in plain view.

"I don't fink so"

"I don't have to!" This sounds very snarky and I didn't like it at first, but I realized he doesn't mean it in a bad way. Again, he got this one from me. If I offer him a snack or water or a toy and he doesn't want it at the moment, I would say "It's ok, you don't have to [eat it, drink it...]."

Other funny words that he says:

cancakes - pancakes
manna - banana
Nemo-oh - Nemo
