Life update

So much of this blog has turned into baby-related "stuff", but that's ok because that's what our life is about right now.  I don't have much else to blog about, but I wanted to take a minute to update on a few other areas.

Semi-baby related...the month of September is so busy for us, with baby showers or family weddings every weekend, we have no other time to do anything fun that we want to do.  I'm really hoping we can find time for a few more dates before baby boy comes, just for some alone time.

We have missed the first two games of the Vols' football season, which makes me very sad.  I was really hoping to make it to a couple this year, before I get too big and uncomfortable.  The first game (last week) would have been perfect to attend, since the weather was perfect with temps in the 70's, but we had a baby shower that day.  I was pretty bummed to miss the game.  We probably could have gone to the game last week, but we decided not to because of rain and other issues.  The next home game we could attend is October 23, and that probably isn't going to happen, considering that will be 10 days before my due date.

We have found a new church that we both love, which makes me so happy.  It was the first one we visited, and we only visited one other church for one week before going back to the first one.  We pretty much knew right away that we really liked this church, but it wasn't until we started visiting a small group (Sunday school class) with people our age that we really felt like we found our home.  The social aspect was a huge reason we looked for another church and we've met some really great people so far.  I'm having lunch with the girls from small group this Saturday and I'm really looking forward to it.

And finally, isn't it scary how Facebook takes over so many areas of our lives?  I logged on this morning and saw that today is my mother-in-law's birthday (she just joined fb about a week ago).  I had no clue!  I called Rodney to ask if he knew and he said yeah, he knew, but he had forgotten.  What would we do without Facebook?
