Fore!

Rodney really rediscovered his love of golf this summer. In his own words, he played more golf this summer than he has in the past however many years since he first picked up a golf club. He usually plays with our friend Josh, or sometimes with some co-workers, and he even went to the driving range with my dad one time.

We had big plans for Sunday afternoon. Big plans to be lazy and do nothing. That is, until Josh called and asked if R wanted to play 9 holes with him, and asked if I wanted to ride along since Josh's wife was riding too. I was actually pretty excited. Ginger and I had talked about going with them at some point, and I was glad I could ease myself in with only 9 holes.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I had a great time! Rodney has slowly eased me into golf this summer. I watch him hit balls in the yard, we watch golf on tv on Sundays, and I listen to him talk about his swing and what he's doing to fix it...constantly. So really, seeing it live and in person wasn't too bad.

I took a few pictures, but really I was too busy driving the cart, and watching where the ball goes when they hit it so we can find it, then driving around looking for it. It's hard work, I tell ya.

The guys are ecstatic that the girls had a good time, and we've already given our approval for another round next Sunday. I'm pretty excited because we're going to a really nice golf course next Sunday, compared to the rinky-dink course from last weekend. Rodney is off on Friday so I think we're going to the zoo (or outlet shopping), we're going to the first college football game of the season on Saturday (!!!), and golf on Sunday. It's going to be a great weekend, if I can just get through my dentist appointment this afternoon. Ugh. It's just a routine cleaning, but I hate it.

Look at my cute little golfer :)

I despise golf! My parents forced me to take lessons when I was in middle school and I have hated the sport ever since. Daniel loves golf and always tries to get me to go golfing with him, maybe I will now... :)
