Levi's nursery

After spending so much time and effort on Isaac's big boy room, I decided to take a more simple approach to Levi's nursery. I found a bedding set that was classic and simple, took the gray and navy as the color scheme for the room, and added one of my favorite colors, orange, as an accent color.

(I also considered the big boy version of this bedding for Isaac's room [not both rooms, just one or the other], but ultimately loved Isaac's comforter too, so I was able to have the best of both worlds.)

The wall color is Sherwin Williams Mindful Gray. Grays can be hard to choose, but I loved this on the color card and I loved it as soon as it went on the wall, which rarely happens.

If you look closely you can see an adorable baby in the crib ;)

All of this furniture was in Isaac's first nursery in our old house (minus the storage unit, we had a much larger one in that room), and that room was much larger than this one. We originally did not have the swing in here, but now that Levi has decided it's ok to nap in the swing sometimes, we have moved it in here.

The shelves are empty because they were the last pieces to be added (last weekend) and the reason this post is just now getting put together.

I found this DIY mobile on Pinterest. It originally caught my eye because it was in these exact colors, perfect for the room's color scheme. It took me weeks to complete, not because it was that difficult, but because I started and put it aside for several weeks before finding a burst of energy and motivation to finish it a couple of weeks before Levi was born.

This came from Etsy, shop Galerie Anais. There are so many cute prints in that shop.

This is what Levi did while I photographed the room. He loves Jacque the Peacock, particularly the black and white patterns on his tail feathers. I think he smiles more at Jacques than he does at me.

Right now Levi takes naps in his rock n play in the nursery during the day, and occasionally I'll try him in the crib for a nap, but I plan on putting him in there more to get him used to it. He plays on his activity mat under the hanging toys in the nursery and we usually do tummy time on a blanket in there, but we never use the changing table. Right now almost all diaper changes happen on our bed since we have everything set up in there. It's just easier for now. When he starts sleeping in the nursery at night I'll move all diaper supplies in there too.
