Although this Christmas was technically Isaac's second Christmas, it felt more like his first. Last year he was 7 weeks old and didn't do much of anything other than lay around, so this year was much more fun. He had no interest in opening the presents, but loved running around and visiting with all of our family.
It's always fun when you get these 2 toddlers together. It's interesting to see the difference between only-child Isaac and younger-sister Brinkley. She knows she has to fight for everything and she's not afraid to do it. Meanwhile Isaac just stands back and pouts, wondering what happened.
After Christmas Eve at my parents' house we went back to our house so Santa could visit. Santa went light on presents this year since we knew Isaac would be overloaded with toys from everyone else. His big present was an Anywhere Chair from Pottery Barn Kids. So far he loves climbing in it, so close supervision is needed.
Christmas Day was spent with Rodney's family. Isaac walked away with lots more toys and books and puzzles. This boy is set for the next year, at least.
We had such a wonderful Christmas this year with our little family and extended family. The hustle and bustle of the season can wear you down, but it's so much more fun with a toddler around!
