I'm not sure why, but 10 months sounds so much older than 9 months. He's really growing up. Fast.
Most of my photos this month came from my phone. I'm finding it so much easier to pick up my phone and snap a photo than to remember to pick up the big camera.
He was 19 lbs 4 oz last month, so he's probably close to 20 pounds now. He's wearing all 9 month clothes and a couple of 12 month sleepers. He gets a 7 oz bottle in the morning (although he usually will only drink 5-6 oz), an 8 oz bottle in the early afternoon, and an 8 oz bottle before bed.
He is still crawling everywhere like a mad man, but still isn't close to walking. He won't even stand by himself without holding onto something. He might occasionally let go for a second, but you can forget about making him stand in front of you. He immediately either lowers himself to the floor or dives forward into my arms. I know he has the balance to stand by himself, but it's a confidence issue for him. He cruises around the furniture like a pro, but I still don't think he'll be walking in a month.
This month Isaac started banging two objects together (blocks or balls), shaking his head back and forth (although he doesn't know it means no), smacking his lips together (which he will immediately imitate if you do it first), and started dancing to music. It can be a commercial on tv, a toy that sings, or a lullaby that I sing, he instantly starts bouncing up and down when he hears music.
He loves walking behind his push walker. It's probably his favorite activity right now. He goes and goes until he hits a wall or the couch, then just keeps pushing. When you help him turn around, he gets so excited because he knows he's about to go again.
We moved Isaac into a big boy car seat this month. He was still many pounds away from the weight limit, but only an inch away from the height limit, so we switched him over to a convertible car seat. I think he's much more comfortable in the new seat.
Isaac's absolute favorite "toy" this month has been the computer. I keep my laptop sitting on the ottoman and now that he is cruising around furniture, he goes straight for the computer whenever he gets a chance. He doesn't bother it as much when it is closed, but he certainly loves touching it if it's open. He gets a little frustrated when mommy tells him he can't touch the computer. Exhibit A:

He has also learned how to close doors, and he is obsessed with doing it. The bedroom door, the bathroom door, the refrigerator, the pantry doors. He figured out how to open the cabinets and drawers, even though they have no hardware, so it's time to completely babyproof the kitchen and buy locks. I'm not looking forward to that.

His language has expanded a little this month, but still only with the "g" sound. Ga, geee, gock.

We visited my dad at his office while we were in the City one day. Grampy loved showing him off to everyone at work. Of course my dad had to call my mom and rub it in that he was seeing Isaac and she wasn't. And then she wanted to talk to Isaac on the phone.
Isaac is a great eater *knock on wood*. He loves bananas, blueberries, pancakes, cheese, and peas. Those are some of his favorites, but really he'll eat pretty much anything you put in front of him.
His personality has really blossomed this month, and he is becoming such a silly, happy little boy. Don't get me wrong, he has always been happy, but now he dances and jabbers and loves life. He also knows exactly what he wants, and more importantly, doesn't want. He will push his bottle away if he doesn't want it, and he will try to push your hands away if you're pulling cat food (or anything else he shouldn't be eating) out of his mouth. He has also started leaning for another person if he wants someone other than who is holding him. I can't help but love it when he dives for me from someone else's arms.
He's becoming more of a boy and less of a baby, and it makes me so excited for the future.
