A day on the farm

On Saturday we went to Rodney's parents' farm to ride 4-wheelers with friends. His parents have somewhere between 100-150 acres. One of the trails had a tree in the middle of it. The big strong men moved it out of the way (as much as possible).


One of my favorite places on the property is what they call Orchard Hill. It has a gorgeous view and is where we originally wanted to build our house one day. It is also where Rodney proposed almost one year ago. It is at the peak of the highest point on the farm. If you come up from the backside of the hill on the 4-wheeler, you only see sky until the magical moment that you hit the top and see the whole farm. It really is breath-taking.

We found some cows. There are 4 that were seperated from the rest while they were pregnant, and now that they are mixed with the other cows, they still stay by themselves with their calves. This is #60, she is our buddy.

She loves bread and will eat out of your hand, even when the other keep their distance.
