Levi at 16 months

This month was a doozy for teeth. He technically cut 3 new ones this month (2 molars and a lower lateral incisor), but I consider it 5 because his first molar cut through the day before he turned 15 months, so it has been working its way in all month. We had lots of days where he seemed in pain, and other days where he was fine. The drool was at an all-time high this month, but has drastically decreased the past few days. He has 11 teeth so far, which is funny because that's exactly how many Isaac had at 16 months.

Levi gained several new words this month. Papaw, ball (bah), balloon (boon), Donald (as in Duck, sound like gah-gald), hot (around the stove or my coffee), and bawk bawk for chicken. He also will repeat several words if we say them, but doesn't really say them on his own: bath (ba), hello, go! go!, and bubble. I also think he says shoe (shhh) and will consistently say yaya for banana. All food or mealtimes are "bite bite", thanks to Rodney's mom. Elmo (and all other Sesame Street characters) is "reh-ro". Macaroni is "ro-ro".

Levi tasted his first sucker this month, thanks to Halloween.

He approved.

Diaper changes have greatly improved recently. He used to scream and throw a fit nearly every time, now I'd say we're down to crying only 50% of the time, or less. Now he likes to lay calmly with his hands behind his head. Amazing!

Levi's favorite toys are things that roll...cars, trucks, and trains. He can keep himself very busy just rolling cars and trucks around the room, and he loves the train table.

He is officially at one nap around 11:45 and sleeps for an average of 2 hours, but it could be anywhere from 1.5-2.5 hours.

Levi has decided that eating with a fork is fun. Eating with his hands is ok, and heaven forbid mommy tries to feed him with a spoon or fork, but if you give him one to do himself he'll eat quite a bit more. Obviously I have to help him load the utensil, but he does ok getting it to his mouth. I think Santa might bring him his own special fork and spoon.

Daddy is his favorite person in the world right now. Levi often walks around the house during the day pointing out photos of daddy around the house.

Isaac is super big into Transformers Rescue Bots right now, and Levi calls them 'bah' (bot). He tries to play with them, which in his world means picking them up and hitting them on whatever is nearby while saying "boop boop boop".

Levi is full of spirit and keep us on our toes. He's our feisty little toddler and we love seeing who he is becoming.
