lately...

- Levi is 4 weeks old today. Crazy! He went through a big growth spurt last week and he looks crazy huge to me all of a sudden. My tiny newborn is gone.

- Rodney has been awesome. He was awesome in the hospital and did (I think) every single diaper change. He insisted on it. He has been even more awesome since we've been home. I feel bad for him, though. He works all day then comes home and doesn't get a break at all, we're constantly busy juggling the baby and Isaac. Of course I don't get a break either. It's just part of this stage of life and we tell ourselves it won't last forever, but right now it's exhausting. Anyway, I think I have the best husband ever. :-)

- I feel so bad for Isaac. There are days (like today) that I spend so much time rocking Levi and tending to his needs that Isaac is left to fend for himself. He is great at playing by himself, but that also means more tv time than I am comfortable with. Isaac has been so amazing through this past 4 weeks. He loves his brother and hasn't shown a bit of jealousy.

- I have been dying to get back to church. I wanted to try to go to small group yesterday but Rodney was teaching (he is one of 3 guys that teach) and he thought having Levi there for the first time would make him nervous. I totally understood, so we're considering taking him next Sunday. We'll see how this week goes first. I'm not sure when we'll make it back to the actual worship service. Our new building has a mother's room at the back with recliners and one way glass so you can still see and hear the service. It's nice to know that's there, but I'm still nervous.

- My mom came Friday for a visit and stayed with the kids while I had lunch with Rodney. It was wonderful! I put Isaac down for a nap before I left and I was shocked to find he was still awake when I got home. He did not nap that day, which is very very rare for him. He napped at Rodney's parents house on Saturday and at our house on Sunday, but skipped his nap again today. He did stay in his room and rest the whole time, so I still got a break, but I am so not ready for him to give up his nap!
