Let's ignore the fact that I'm way way behind on blog updates and doing a 2012 recap before a Christmas recap and just move on with it.
Let's face it. I didn't blog very much this year. I didn't take many pictures of anything other than Isaac. I'm not sure I can do a monthly recap, but instead I'll hit the highlights.
We experienced lots of warm weather in January, which led to Isaac and I spending lots of time outside.
Rodney and I celebrated four years of marriage, and Isaac and I started some very special friendships.
February brought Isaac's first ear infection and thanks to the horrible cold that came with that, we kicked the pacifier habit for good!
In April Rodney and I went on a weekend getaway to celebrate the end of tax season, and we celebrated Isaac's second Easter.
We made an offer on a house at the end of May and finally reached an agreement and signed a contract in June.
July was spent packing, moving, unpacking, and getting settled in our new house.
Isaac started Mother's Day Out two days a week in August, and we experienced his first ER visit.
In October we hosted our annual bonfire for our Sunday school class at Rodney's parents' farm and took Isaac to trunk-or-treat at our church the weekend before Halloween. This was basically all the Halloween he got because our whole family was laid up with the stomach flu on Halloween.
Our little man turned 2 in November and we celebrated with a Mickey Mouse party. Our best friends moved away, but we eased the pain by visiting them just 2 weeks later.
We hosted Thanksgiving this year with 9 adults and 2 kids. After dinner everyone participated in a game of football outside.
December brought many celebrations of Christmas with family, but our favorite was our first Christmas morning in our new home.
I have high hopes for 2013 and can't wait to see what it brings!
Happy new year!
