Friday randomness

Things have been pretty quiet around here.  Time for an update.

- I'm in serious party planning mode.  Unfortunately, I'm not to the fun part yet.  I'm still at the stressful part where we figure out where to have Isaac's first birthday party.  With an early November birthday, you just can't trust the weather.  It could be a beautiful fall day, or it could be cold and rainy/snowy.  We're looking at having the party on November 5th, which is the day we brought Isaac home from the hospital last year.  Up until then it had been warm and sunny, but that day was the coldest day so far and spitting snow.  I really want to have the party at our house, but there's just not enough room for everyone.

- I'm also in crazy organizing mode.  It's like I'm nesting all over again, except I'm not pregnant.  I blame Pinterest for showing me all kinds of beautifully organized pantries and offices.  We do have plans to re-do our office soon.  Right now there are 2 desks, which was important when Rodney was studying for the CPA exam and I scrapbooked.  Neither of those things happen anymore, so we'll be moving one desk out and rearranging the rest of the room.  Hopefully that can be a small play (toy storage) area for Isaac as he gets older.

- I'm hovering around 12-13 pounds lost, but I'm ok with that, because I'm definitely "shrinking".  I've lost approximately 1 inch from my waist, 2 from my hips, and I'm wearing pants and shorts that I haven't worn in years.  I knew keeping old clothes would come in handy one day.  My wardrobe is expanding and I'm not spending any money.

- I think we're going to see "The Help" tomorrow while my mom stays with Isaac.  I really liked the book and I have only heard good reviews about the movie.

- Fall is in the air.  Well, maybe not, but it is in my mind.  I can't wait to wear fall clothes and do fall activities. I'm so excited to buy Isaac a fall wardrobe.  This is the first season where we don't have too many clothes left from gifts, and I get to pick out everything.  It's funny to think this will be Isaac's first Halloween.  I have a few costume ideas floating around in my head, but nothing has been decided yet.

- Isaac woke up with some crazy bedhead yesterday morning.

I could have wet it down and started all over, but I didn't.  By the end of the day, it was driving me crazy, so I just worked with it, and Isaac got his first mohawk.  

- Speaking of my cutie, he has started doing this thing where he lays his head on my shoulder when I'm holding him and someone else talks to him, like he's being shy.  It totally melts my heart!
