plateau

How about a weight loss update?


I've lost 7 pounds since the first of June, which I was very happy about 3 weeks ago.  Unfortunately, I haven't lost any weight in the past 3 weeks, and it's getting pretty frustrating.  The good news is, I haven't gained any weight either.  I've been stuck at the same number for 3 weeks.  My pants are getting looser, but I still can't fit into the next size down, which stinks.  I'm seeing small results, which keep me going, but I really want to see the number on the scale go down.

I'm currently doing c25k 3 days a week, and usually a Jillian Michaels video 2 or 3 days a week.  I'm in the middle of week 5 of c25k.  I took a whole week off after only 2 weeks because my knees and shin splints were bothering me.  Since then I've felt much better, but occasionally I'll skip a day for an extra day of rest.  I'm running 8 minutes at a time now, something that I never thought I could do.  I'm supposed to run 20 minutes straight today, but I don't think that's going to go well.

My birthday was Friday and we celebrated all weekend with lots of good food.  We had my favorite Mexican food on Friday, popcorn at a movie on Saturday, and dinner out on Saturday night.  Oh yes, and some yummy cookie cake.


I have to admit, it felt a little strange to eat so much food at one time, with no care for portion sizes or calories.  My body likes eating less calories, smaller meals, and healthier foods.

I've been at this for almost 2 months, and Rodney and my mom say they can see a difference.  I'm really feeling comfortable with this new lifestyle, now if I can just figure out how to get over this plateau and keep losing weight, I'll be doing great!
