Let's talk furniture

Rodney and I purchased a new mattress before we got married. Other than that, every piece of furniture in our house is leftover from our college days or has been handed down from various family members. In two years of marriage, we have not purchased any furniture together. It's obviously not at the top of our list of priorities.

However, our living room furniture has seen better days. The couch cushions are majorly sagging and Rodney's black leather recliner is old and, well...ugly. We decided to use this year's tax refund to splurge (reasonably) on some fancy new living room furniture.

Our friends have a sectional from Rooms To Go that we have loved since they bought it, so we knew we wanted to check there. We spent almost 2 hours wandering around the store, weighing all of our options. Who knew it would be so hard to make a big decision about furniture?

We ended up getting a sectional, along with a special deal including an ottoman, entertainment console, and plasma TV. They won't be delivered until March 31, so we have a while to wait, but we're very excited about our brand new living room.

We couldn't decide between the "espresso" color or the "light taupe". With 3 very furry animals, one black, one white, and one gray, it's a lose-lose situation. We ultimately chose espresso.

My only regret...it won't be here in time for March Madness.

We have only bought one piece of furniture since getting married too, a TV console. I really want a sectional once we get our den finished.
