back from vacation

As I mentioned last time, I had an interview on my birthday, which was a Wednesday. I was told that they would make a decision by Friday. Friday came and went with no phone call. I didn't let myself get too upset because I was going on vacation the next day.

Rodney and I left that Saturday for Hilton Head Island, to be followed the next day by my parents, brother, SIL, and nephew. The rest of them had different reason why they couldn't come until Sunday, so we took advantage of our Saturday-Saturday rental and left first. Unfortanately, Rodney had to leave on Wednesday to be back at work on Thursday, so his time was cut short, but I got a full vacation, longer than anyone else.

Just like last year, I really enjoyed spending time with my nephew, Corbin, who is 2-years-old. He and Rodney were big buddies too. C calls him Ro-ey, like Rodney without the 'dn'. I'm JuJu, my mom is Nana, and my dad is Grampy, except C calls him Bay. He's funny, though, because he can say Grampy when he wants to, but Bay usually just come out. One night Dad was driving pretty quickly around a parking lot and C yelled out, "Slow down, Bay!"

I love being behind the camera but that usually means I don't get many picture of me and Rod.

I wish I had more pictures to show, but most of them are of Corbin, and I don't want to bore you with too many. I will leave you with 2 scrapbook pages I have made so far from the beach trip.
