Easter weekend

We started our Easter weekend by heading to the City on Saturday to do a little shopping and visit with my brother and his family. Now that Isaac and B are 17 and 18 months, photos of all the cousins are getting much more difficult. This is the only one I took, because the scene was just crazy and obviously wasn't working. I love that Isaac is cheesing big time, though. I think he's actually laughing at my brother behind me.

On Sunday we woke up bright and early and went to the 8:30 service at church, but we made time for a few pictures beforehand.

After that, we went to small group, then I worked in the nursery during the 11:00 service and R took Isaac home for a nap. We had 8 babies between the ages of 3 and 11 months, and 3 workers. It got a little crazy at times, but we survived.

After church we went to some friends' house for lunch and an egg hunt.
I made rice krispie egg treats

Isaac enjoyed picking up the eggs from the grass, but it was all over once he discovered that the eggs could open. There was nothing inside since our egg-hunting buddy was younger than Isaac and can't have certain things, but Isaac was mesmerized by the empty eggs. In fact, we still have eggs around our house because he loves pulling them apart.

Do you see those spoons on the floor beside him? He got a large pack of spoons in his Easter basket from R's parents, and he insisted that I open them right away. He carried those 3 spoons around almost all day on Monday. Who knew that spoons would be his favorite part?

And just for fun, here are a few pictures of Isaac from last Easter.

5.5 months old

Look at those cheeks!

Issac looks like a little man, I can't get over how big he has gotten! I love the matching ties with Rodney & Issac. :)

It looks like you had a wonderful Easter!!!
