How far along: 32 weeks
How big is baby: 3.75 pounds and about 16.7 inches long
Weight gain: approximately 21-22 pounds total
Stretch marks: none, but my linea nigra is getting darker and uglier (which is fine since no one sees it but me, Rodney, and my doctor)
Sleep: decent, except I'm now waking up for a bathroom break sometimes 2 or 3 times a night instead of my normal 1
Cravings/aversions: nothing fancy
Maternity clothes: yep
Movement: he usually stays on my right side but last week I was feeling him everywhere. He was moving sharp little body parts across my belly for a couple of days, and one day spent most of the day in my right side (like actually my side, close to my back!), but he's back to "normal" now
What I'm loving: Isaac has been so super sweet with my belly lately. He randomly kisses it and hugs it and rubs it. I think he's finally realizing (as much as a 2-year-old can) that there's something in there. He even says sometimes, "I love you, Baby Clark" (except he says the real name). I love it!
Symptoms: heartburn faded for the most part this week. I'm still having lots of Braxton Hicks contractions, 90% of which occur when I switch positions: roll over in bed, get out of bed, sit down on the couch, etc. These suckers can be intense at times too, and don't typically hurt, but do take my breath away sometimes.
What I'm looking forward to: having a baby. I'm offically there. Give me my baby.
Best moment of the week: a baby shower today for a girl at church. She is due 9 days before me with a boy, their first child. We're so excited for Chris and Jessica and can't wait to go through this parenting journey with them.
How I'm feeling: I'm excited this week. I don't know why, but one night it just hit me. I'm excited to cuddle his sweet little body and go through all the baby stuff again. I'm excited about integrating him into our family and our routine. I know it's going to be very difficult at times, but I can't wait. This is the family we always wanted.
